START HERE: The CMU Directory is part of our mission to open up the music business to everyone involved in music making at all levels. It is and always will be a work in progress - we are constantly expanding and updating what is here. If you have an update to any entry, or want to suggest an addition (company or section), send us an email to cmudirectory@unlimitedmedia.co.uk.
If you are proposing a company for listing, make sure you tell us the company name, contact address, phone number and email, web address, a brief description of what the company does and which sections you think it should be listed in. We might need more info, if so we'll get in touch.
The Directory is in two main parts. The first part provides an introduction to various parts of the the music industry, and especially the record companies. The second provides company profiles and contact lists for different sectors within the music business and music media. In addition to all that, we also provide a guide to careers in the music business in association with our sister website Unicorn Jobs.
