Audio Bullys are an electronic duo comprised of Simon Franks and Tom Dinsdale, best known for their 2005 track 'Shot You Down', which samples Nancy Sinatra's 'Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)'. Standing at the forefront of the UK's hip hop revival, the last album 'Generation', was released in 2005. Now their back with a storming new single 'Gimme That Punk" and new a new album on the way.

Tom, answers our same six questions below.

Q1 How did you start out making music?
Through friends who had samplers; I'd go round and watch them, looking over their shoulders until I got my own.

Q2 What inspired your latest single?
I played a rough version of it in Nijmegen, Holland and then started working on it more. The lyrics were inspired by playing at Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh, where Simon said the first few lyrics and then we developed it further.

Q3 What process do you go through in creating a track?
I sit in-front of my computer and go through the motions until something really genuine pops out. A lot of stuff gets wasted.

Q4 Which artists influence your work?
Really, people influence my work. Mostly my immediate friends - if they like what I'm doing then that’s good for me. Honest, positive feedback from my true friends.

Q6 What are your ambitions for your new album, and for the future?
Ambitions for the new album are just that it’s received well by people. I like to know that my mates like and the people I work with like it and that we've touched the fans again, as well as making some new ones.
