Enjoy Destroy

Harking from somewhere in rural Hampshire, Enjoy Destroy, they tell me, strive to bring back the glory days of the 90's Seattle grunge era, while combining influences from the likes of Ryan Adams, Elvis Costello, and Supertramp that bring sweet soulful melodies to their music. Which all sounds good to me.

With album 'Little Dreams' out on 24 Mar 2008, and the title single dropping 10 Mar 2008, we got frontman Freddie to answer our same six questions...

Q1 How did you start out making music?
We started just messing around with friends in the music rehearsal room at school, but then we realised we really had something in the first demos, and it developed into a proper band from that.

Q2 What inspired your latest single?
It ('Little Dreams') is about spending a lot of time away from home - like when we were recording in New York and touring doing support slots - and not fully appreciating home until you've gone without it for a while.

Q3 What process do you go through in creating a track?
Most of the songs are usually born on the bedroom floor with an acoustic guitar. They then pass through a rigorous tweaking process in the band practice room until finally all of the creative aspects are laid to rest in the studio.

Q4 Which artists influence your work?
The big three, Incubus, Silverchair, Smashing Pumpkins... Plus everything over the last 500 years that we've liked...

Q5 What would you say to someone experiencing your music for the first time?
"What do you think?"

Q6 What are your ambitions for your latest single, and for the future?
For our single to fall favourably on as many ears as possible and beyond that we just want to continue moving on to better and brighter things, the first of which is our debut headline tour in April.
